What a shared safari is really like

A group safari puts you in a 7-seat pop-top Land Cruiser with a handful of other travellers and an expert driver-guide. Everyone gets a window seat — the pop-top roof lifts so all seven guests can stand and photograph game at once.

Because the route, dates and lodges are fixed in advance, the price is a fraction of a private safari, and there's nothing to arrange: you reserve a seat, pay a deposit, and we handle the rest. You'll travel with like-minded people from around the world — most of our group travellers arrive solo or as a couple.

Days start early to catch the best game viewing, with a midday break at the lodge and an afternoon drive. Between parks you'll cover ground on the road, stopping at viewpoints such as the Great Rift Valley escarpment. It's sociable, relaxed and endlessly rewarding — and it's the most affordable way to experience a Kenyan safari without compromising on the wildlife.

The moment you select your seats they are held for you while you check out — just like choosing a seat on a flight. Once you pay the deposit your seats are confirmed in your name and nobody else can book them.
Group safaris run on a regular repeating schedule — for example every week or every couple of weeks. You simply pick whichever upcoming date suits you and book that departure. Every departure is guaranteed to run.
