Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve. You'll set off in Nairobi and travel northward to Samburu National Reserve. The drive, lasting about 5-6 hours, winds through the picturesque countryside of Kenya. Upon arrival at Samburu National Park, you'll check into Ashnil Samburu Camp in time for a delightful lunch. Following some rest, you'll embark on your inaugural game drive. The park is celebrated for its distinctive wildlife, including the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx—collectively known as the "Samburu Special Five." Explore Samburu National Reserve. After breakfast, you'll set out on an early morning game drive to observe the wildlife when it's most active. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You'll return to the camp for a brief respite and a delightful lunch in the afternoon. Post-lunch, choose between a relaxed afternoon game drive or some downtime at your lodge. The Ewaso Ng'iro River, flowing through the park, draws a diverse array of animals and is an excellent location for wildlife spotting. Samburu to Solio Ranch Conservancy. You'll depart from Samburu National Reserve after breakfast and embark on a 4–5-hour drive to Solio Ranch, traversing the scenic landscapes of central Kenya. Upon arrival at Solio Ranch Conservancy, you'll check in at the Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch. Following a brief period of rest, you'll set out on your afternoon game drive. Solio Ranch is celebrated for its effective rhino conservation program, providing a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, alongside other fauna such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. The conservancy is also a haven for bird enthusiasts, boasting over 350 recorded species. The picturesque setting against the backdrop of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains enhances the wildlife viewing experience. Solio to Lake Naivasha. After a delightful breakfast at Aberdare Country Club, you can venture to Lake Naivasha, a stunning freshwater lake encircled by verdant vegetation and abundant wildlife. The lake is renowned for its hippos and diverse birdlife, including fish eagles and pelicans. Upon arrival in Naivasha, you'll check into the charming midrange Sawela Lodges and savor your lunch. Later in the afternoon, you can take a boat ride on the lake, visit Crescent Island for a walking safari, or explore the nearby Hell’s Gate National Park, famous for its spectacular scenery and geothermal activity, all available for a nominal additional fee. You'll continue the drive, taking in the picturesque scenery on the way to Masai Mara. Upon arrival in time for lunch, you'll check into the Ashnil Mara Camp, situated within the reserve, and savor your meal. Following a brief period of rest, you'll commence an afternoon game drive. The Mara is home to the Big Five and also boasts a diverse array of over 400 bird species. As evening falls, you'll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay. Explore Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, you'll set out on a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara. This reserve hosts the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos. From July to October, you can witness the incredible migration of over a million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles as they traverse the Mara River. Afterward, you'll return to the camp to check out and proceed to Lake Elementaita. Here, you can arrange boat rides for a small direct fee. Observe a vast number of hippos and a remarkable array of birds by the lake, including flamingos, pelicans, and migratory species. Lake Elementaita to Amboseli National Park. You'll depart from Lake Elmentaita to the Elephants Backyard of Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game —elephants, lions, and cheetahs and for its great scenic beauty. You'll arrive in time for lunch. You'll check in at Kibo Safari Camp and, later in the afternoon, enjoy a game drive at Amboseli National Park. Later in the evening, you'll return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Explore Amboseli National Park. After a beautiful breakfast at Kibo Safari Camp, you will have an opportunity to explore Amboseli with an early and afternoon game drive. It is home to iconic wildlife, hosting four members of the Big Five, from lions to graceful zebras and countless bird species in its swamps and wetlands. The park is home to large numbers of African elephants, creating the perfect opportunity for an up-close view of up to fifty herds of elephants in one safari, making it a prime destination for both photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. Amboseli to Nairobi. This is the last day of your great safari. After breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi City or the airport.
